Kathleen Niu
Kathleen Niu is an ACC-registered acupuncturist and physiotherapist at Balanced Vitality Acupuncture, with a special focus on facial acupuncture, therapeutic massage, and healthy weight management.
Her facial acupuncture treatments work alongside body acupuncture to address skin health and internal balance together — since concerns like a dull complexion, pigmentation or breakouts are often connected to deeper patterns the body is working to correct.
Her therapeutic massage draws on Traditional Chinese Medicine, modern anatomy and rehabilitation principles to relieve pain, restore mobility and support the body’s natural healing process.

Treating the whole system, not just the symptom
Traditional Chinese Medicine views the body as a network of interconnected systems, rather than isolated parts. The Five Elements — Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water — describe how the body’s organ systems generate and regulate one another. Every treatment plan starts by considering where that balance has been lost.
These principles form part of a centuries-old medical tradition. They are presented here as the philosophical basis of our clinical approach, not as claims verified by modern scientific evidence.
